science month celebration

                                                                  Science month celebration 2013

"The reproaches against science for not having yet solved the problems of the universe are exaggerated in an unjust and malicious manner; it has truly not had time enough yet for these great achievements. Science is very young - a human activity which developed late." - Sigmund Freud
Science (from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. In an older and closely related meaning, "science" also refers to a body of knowledge itself, of the type that can be rationally explained and reliably applied. A practitioner of science is known as a scientist.
Since classical antiquity, science as a type of knowledge has been closely linked to philosophy. In the early modern period the words "science" and "philosophy of nature" were sometimes used interchangeably. By the 17th century, natural philosophy (which is today called "natural science") was considered a separate branch of philosophy.
In modern usage, "science" most often refers to a way of pursuing knowledge, not only the knowledge itself. It is also often restricted to those branches of study that seek to explain the phenomena of the material universe. In the 17th and 18th centuries scientists increasingly sought to formulate knowledge in terms of laws of nature such as Newton's laws of motion. And over the course of the 19th century, the word "science" became increasingly associated with the scientific method itself, as a disciplined way to study the natural world, including physics, chemistry, geology and biology. It is in the 19th century also that the term scientist was created by the naturalist-theologian William Whewell to distinguish those who sought knowledge on nature from those who sought other types of knowledge.
However, "science" has also continued to be used in a broad sense denoting reliable, teachable knowledge about a topic, as in modern terms like library science or computer science. This is also reflected in the names of some areas of academic study such as "social science" or "political science".
In celebration to the Science month celebration, ISNHS joins in the celebration of this event. Many activities were done like the Ginoo at Binibining Kalikasan and other more.
Let's be thankful to our scientists for their continuos research for us to increase our knowledge.

                                                                          Teachers

                                                               My Teacher, My Hero

Children have the right to be educated so parents sent their children in school. Pre-school is the first stage where the children have to experience. Teachers were their mother inside the school or center. Whenever the parent leaves her/his children in the school to go work, teachers were the one who will watch out the children. They will the one to take care the child. If he wants to go to the comfort room, the teacher will accompany him. That’s how hard to become a teacher. They sacrifice their life for the children even though they are not real children of her own.
In the fourteen year or even fifteen years of your studying teachers were your accompany to reach all your goals and dreams. They were the one who helped to you to be successful. They were the source of your lessons you are learning in everyday lives. They become our second parents. All the things that were not taught to us in our homes schools fulfilled all of this through our teachers. They made sacrifices to teach us. Sometimes their time for their family is sacrificed to us because they want us to have lessons to learn. They gave us new lessons everyday because they want us to be a good people someday, to become one who will raise our country from poverty. All of our teachers have only one purpose and that is to prepare us in our future.
Thanks to our teachers for they become our second parents. They were our heroes who saved us from being nothing or no knowledge. They are preparing us for our future. Thank you to all of our teachers. We salute you all. And may God give you more wisdom, strength, and guidance. God bless you and your family.
